"ECO BRISA" Collective Housing

“EcoBrisa” is a collective housing project located in the Vista Hermosa neighborhood of Tena, Napo (Ecuador), on an irregular 986.91 m² lot with a 17% east-west slope. The multi-use building leverages its three facades to maximize cross ventilation and views of the Amazon, while incorporating bioclimatic strategies—shades, overhangs, and ventilation ducts—to ensure thermal and light comfort year-round.

On the ground floor, commercial spaces (a store, a hair salon, a convenience store) and service spaces (a security guard, a pump room, a garbage dump) are located, fostering interaction with the neighborhood and creating an active boundary. The six upper levels are organized into flexible typologies: duplexes for students (4 bedrooms), suites for nuclear families, and apartments for extended families, all with stepped terraces that respond to the topography and create a staggered volume.
